As a Registered Investment Adviser rep, I’m bound by a number of rules and regulations designed to protect investors. This means I can’t offer personalized advice on this blog.
If you have a specific question about your investments or one of my blog posts, or you would like to discuss a confidential matter, feel free to contact me and I’ll see if I can help you out.
Also, if you’d like for me to blog about a certain topic of interest to you, let me know! If you’re interested, others may be, too.
Email, by far, is the best way to get a hold of me. Send your message to firstname.lastname@example.org and put “Blog” in your email subject line. To reach me by phone, dial (800) 355-FUND ext 2. And there’s always snail mail: Holly Hooper-Fournier, Mutual Fund Strategist Ltd, Post Office Box 755, Shelburne, Vermont 05482.
To work with me more directly through a managed account program, here’s a few things you should know:
- My typical client has worked a lifetime to accumulate a nest egg and doesn’t want to see it wiped out by bear markets. Clients tend to be either approaching retirement or already retired, and don’t possess the time, discipline or inclination to manage their own money. Their goal, like mine, is to carefully grow the investments by being in the market when risk is normal and moving to the sidelines during periods of uncertainty. As legendary technical analyst Louse Yamada puts it, “There are two kinds of losses. A loss of capital and a loss of opportunity; but there will always be another opportunity if you protect capital.”
- I run a small ship, by design (see the About Me page). If you dislike big corporate relationships with revolving personnel or if you currently have limited access to the decision-maker. we may be a good fit. As a managed account client, you’ll deal directly with me.
- I generally communicate with managed account clients through email. Of course there are conversations, but most Q&A’s take place asynchronously. Clients do have 24/7 online access to their account balances and positions through a third-party custodian.
- I manage client accounts with a variety of custodians including Charles Schwab, Fidelity, ProFunds, Rydex, TD Ameritrade, Jefferson National and Vanguard.
Finally, I license my strategies to qualified investment advisers looking for risk-management strategies with established track records and partner with qualified solicitors on a fee-sharing basis.
I look forward to hearing from you!
